ManRock? Where did the name come from?
Mike, owner & brewer, is a 4th generation Central Coast resident. His Grandfather was born in Gorda, CA and raised in Pacific Valley, south of Big Sur. Sand Dollar Beach was “their beach” for 76 years! His family’s homestead was Plaskett Rock to Mansfield Rock (now called Mansfield Cone) from 1888-1964, that’s 76 years! Take a drive up Highway 1 and when you see the Ranger’s Station in Pacific Valley, imagine a ranch style home there and look at that view…priceless!
ManRock is short for Mansfield Rock, in honor of Mike’s grandfather. Unfortunately, he passed before seeing Mike’s dream become a reality. Mike wanted part of his family’s history to become part of our family’s future. Our children are 5th generation and a 6th generation Grandson!
